TL;DR – Like no other.
First of its kind in Singapore, the newly-opened NomadX covers 11,000 square feet over 2 floors at Plaza Singapura. It combines physical space with a digital layer of technology-enabled customer experience and features 17 brands with new to market merchandise.
We visited the store recently and were impressed withthe smart mirrors and interactive product walls as well as the fully cashless payment system.
The highlight of the store is probably the presence of e-commerce giant, Alibaba’s Taobao. This is where you step into their showcase of home furniture and appliances to find inspiration for your Instaworthy homes and more importantly, they now have a new app that delivers your orders straight to your place, without the need of a third-party agent.
Making their first offline presence, Style Theory is a local start up that offers designer clothing rental via a subscription service. The smart mirrors enhancements will send the styling recommendations and sizing provided by their fashion advisors to your smartphone via their app seamlessly and new subscribers at NomadX will also receive a $30 off your first month of subscription!
And it’s not just shopping. If food is your thing, you’ll be glad to know about BIZEN Okayama Waygu Steakhouse. This is the newest wagyu steakhouse concept by serial foodpreneur, Aston Soon and the place stocks 100% imported wagyu from Okayama, Japan at an unbelievable starting price of $18.90.
Always wanted to be a chemist but somehow it didn’t happen? Well now you can play chemist in the comforts of your own home with the eponymous Eau de Parfum Oo La Lab Mixology Kit which will be launched at NomadX! Oo La Lab’s signature scented candles will be exclusively available in giant 500g and 1kg sizes.
Lastly, my absolute favourite.
Karl Lagerfield, the head creative director of Chanel as well as Fendi now has his own fashion label! Exclusive at NomadX are his iconic Pins collection bags and accessories that come scattered with gleaming silver-toned pins that represent the world of Karl Lagerfield.
