Another type of strange scam now seen on WhatsApp

TL;DR – Quite sick.

As seen on a Facebook post recently,



If you do not understand what’s happening based on the screenshots above, here’s a summary:

  1. Random stranger got hold of victim’s number.
  2. Called victim.
  3. Messaged victim and claims to be from Lazada (which we guess is probably not true)
  4. Continued to send random pictures of girls he probably downloaded online for “research” purposes

What I do not understand is what is he trying to get out of it? Those pictures he sent ain’t pictures of the victim/s.

So what does he want? For the victim to reply yes so he can deliver shorts to her address?

What is his end game really? It might seems like a silly message prank but I don’t think it will hurt to be safe than sorry in this case.
