TL;DR – No longer a bad thing to be made in China.

You might have seen the illuminated square icon projected onto the various buildings in Singapore, such Raffles City, Bugis Junction and Plaza Singapura.

In cause you’re wondering, the  square icon reflects the design of the camera array found on the rear of the HUAWEI Mate 20 Series. The new Leica Triple Camera and flash is arranged in a special two-by-two matrix that is recognisable even at a distance.

The advanced Leica triple camera system comes with an Ultra Wide Angle Lens that allows users to capture more with a wider field of view. The new camera system also supports macro distance, which produces crisp images of objects that are captured as close as 2.5cm from the lens.

Building on interactive experiences with new AI capabilities, the HUAWEI Mate 20 Series is able to help users identify historic landmarks, famous artwork and even the nutritional value of most foods.

Fans queued from as early as 6am for the new HUAWEI Mate 20 series (via)
