TL;DR – Lip smacking good.
Remember White Rabbit?
The sweet, milky candy from our childhood that comes with a thin rice paper coating?
Apparently, the candy is made by Shanghai Guan Sheng Yuan Food, Ltd and has been around since the 1940s. The candy is so iconic for China that it was given to then U.S. president Richard Nixon when he visited the country in the 1970s.
If you miss this childhood favourite but are afraid to consume it due to Formaldehyde contamination and Melamine contamination scares, well, you can get a whiff and almost taste of it with the new White Rabbit Candy lip balm.
Made by Chinese cosmetics company Maxam, a limited number of pieces were launched on September 20 and you can also find listings of them on online marketplaces such as Taobao.
The official launch date is set to be on October 20 and this edition will be sold in a special gift box.
