This version of Kit Chan’s Home in Cantonese will give you all the feels

TL;DR – Because dialects have always been an important part of growing up in S’pore. 

National Day is just around the corner and this just means its time for us to belt out classics such as Stand Up For Singapore and One People, One Nation, One Singapore.

And of course, Home.

This song composed by Dick Lee in 1998 and sang by Kit Chan is probably the best National Day song of all time.

If you are one of those who feel that dialect somehow brings people close together, then you will definitely enjoy this soothing rendition of Home in Cantonese by local singer Novabelle 吳詠賢.
