TL;DR – Lights, camera, dance.

Mention ballet and you might think it’s too arty farty. Perhaps even boring, when compared to K-Pop dances and their moves.

What about men doing ballet? Only Billy Elliot comes to mind?

The Hong Kong Ballet‘s latest campaign, “Never Stand Still” aims to shake things up from their previously more conservative visuals.

Designed by Washington-based studio Design Army, the campaign features the company’s ballet dancers frozen in poses at some iconic Hong Kong landmarks such as Tin Hau Temple and a Wong Kar-wai inspired shot featuring two lovers at the popular Mido Café.

“We looked to establish a vibrant, energy filled brand experience that reflects the passion and drive of dance, and the Hong Kong Ballet’s new artistic director, the highly acclaimed choreographer, Septime Webre,” Design Army wrote on its website.
