TL;DR – Viewer discretion is advised.
In a video widely circulating WhatsApp, it appears that a woman had jumped from the 19th floor at The Interlace Condominium at Deport Road.
The video has since been removed from Facebook but there are copies of it online.
It is said that she is a foreign domestic worker from Myanmar.
We will continue to update this article when we have more details.
The Interlace is an award-winning development near Bukit Merah, or what the developers tout as “one of the largest and most ambitious residential developments in Singapore”.

The Centre for Domestic Employees has responded with the following:
CDE TO AID DECEASED DOMESTIC WORKER’S NEXT-OF-KIN
1. The Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE) understands that a foreign worker from Myanmar leapt to her death at the Interlace Condominium yesterday and we are deeply saddened by this incident and the tragic loss of life.
2. CDE is contacting the Myanmar embassy to find out how we can assist the deceased worker’s next-of-kin.
3. CDE trusts that the authorities will conduct a thorough investigation. Additionally, we hope that the public would refrain from sharing the viral video, speculating on the incident and allow the investigation to run its due course. During this period, CDE hopes that the privacy of the deceased and her family is respected.
4. CDE also urges foreign domestic workers to approach us at 1800 2255 233 (1800 CALL CDE) if they require help on employment-related issues, legal aid and professional counselling.
