How can we really satisfy Singaporeans?

TL;DR – Can never win.

Some time back, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announce that around 880,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive the next instalment of the GST Voucher – Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate.

Depending on your flat type, each household can get a rebate starting from $45 to $65.

From July onwards, we will see a permanent increase from U-Save rebate of $40 to $120 annually. This move was made to help household offset some of the increase in water price after Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat’s announcement in February’s Budget.

I mean we are literally getting free money and I would expect some people to be cheering about it right?

But erm,

Are there some theories that I missed out online or some calculation that I fail to make? End of the day, if your government is seriously a pain, they can simply not give, right?

How can we satisfy Singaporeans really?

Give this guy a medal already
